Hello! My name is Phil and I'm the owner of Philosophy Counseling & Consulting, LLC. I began working in mental health back in 2013. For two years I worked in community mental health settings helping children and adults with severe and persistent mental health concerns. After leaving the field of counseling in 2015 and returning in 2018, I began working with college students at a university counseling center until going full time into private practice March 2026. I help folx with a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, LGBTQIA+ concerns, grief/loss, etc. I specialize in helping folx who are struggling with food, specifically binge-eating disorder, are pre/post op for bariatric surgery, weight loss, and nutrition. My hope is to sit with others, hear their story and support them in the changes they want to make with warmth, compassion, humor, and a cup of coffee.
